*ANNUAL 4th OF JULY FIREWORKS AT THE FARM*
Portsmouth celebrates Independence Day, each year, with the annual fireworks display put on by the Escobar family at their Middle Road farm on July 4th.
All guests of the Inn are invited to join Dawn, the Innkeeper, at the back area of the property, as it is the perfect vantage point for viewing the fireworks! Dawn sets up chairs and blankets on the lawn and lights the firepit for roasting of marshmallows and she also supplies graham crackers and chocolate for smores!
The show starts after dark and hundreds gather at Escobar’s Farm at 133 Middle Road to watch the show, which is both a celebration of our nation’s independence as well as an annual community gathering tradition. Many enjoy the show because of its rural, community feel. It also is an opportunity to explore the farm.
Donations are encouraged — since the show does not receive formal town or state funding and is run entirely through donations and volunteers...and the kindness of Mr. Escobar’s heart. There is an old metal milk can, tied to the tree out in front of Jane & Louie's house, where donations can be placed!
*Show begins around 9:30 p.m.
